Wright, William | 16/07/92
Position: Midfield / Attack
An exciting and adventurous player who could arguably operate in any position on the park – most notably in the attacking midfield position – Will had broken through with South Midlands side Old Bradwell United at the age of just 17 before also playing for the likes of New Bradwell St Peter, Leighton Town, Bletchley Town and Northampton Spencer.
FC MMIX debut: August 2009, vs MKXI (8-2 victory)
Last appearance: January 2011, vs Great Mile Ash (3-1 victory)
Total FC MMIX appearances: 24 (13 goals)
Will began 2009/10 in blistering form, featuring in 9 of the first 10 games including the 3-1 victory over Yardley Athletic where he worked his marker so hard that he had to be subbed off after half an hour. But due to personal issues and other commitments, he featured only twice in the second half of the season and promised to make up for lost time in 2010/11. And it started off that way, with Will scoring 6 goals in his first 3 games of the season including a hat-trick on the opening day of the pre-season schedule before once again being let down by his own issues and a questionable attitude. As the season progressed his appearances became more sporadic, and he was eventually ruled out of contention indefinitely from the end of January 2011 onwards.
