Thompson, Jerome | DOB: October 20th, 1983
FC MMIX debut: October 2011, vs Stoke Hammond MK (4-3 defeat)
A naturally attacking midfielder by trade, Jerome signed for FC MMIX on a free transfer from New City Saints midway through October 2011 and finally made his debut for the club as a first half substitute in the 4-3 defeat to Stoke Hammond MK later that month, greatly impressing in the process despite MMIX losing the fixture.
Calm, composed and with the ability to really pick a pass, Jerome actually captained New City Saints during the early stages of 2010/11 before leaving the club – along with now MMIX team-mate Myles Braham – shortly before the two clubs actually met in the Bill Johnson Supplementary Cup semi-final back in March 2011, where MMIX progressed through to the final which saw them claim the first piece of silverware in their history with a 3-1 victory over AFC Santander.
Expect Jerome to really play a part as the season progresses.
