Position: Goalkeeper

Paul Lowe’s temporary relocation to Newcastle meant that FC MMIX needed a first class goalkeeper within their ranks, so along came Saaj Singh – a young, confident goalkeeper who had already proven himself locally with the likes of MK Wanderers and MK Santos.

Making his debut in early January, Saaj immediately installed himself as first choice goalkeeper with a series of impressive displays between the sticks, including only FC MMIX’s 2^nd ever clean sheet in their 2-0 victory over Inter Inchley in February 2010. He was forced to miss 3 games towards the end of the campaign through suspension, and also sat out the season’s final game due to other commitments, before signing for Division Two side Punjab United in the summer of 2010 order to focus on outfield duties. Club and player parted more than amicably, and still remain in regular contact today.
