Morton, Michael | DOB: October 21st, 1989
FC MMIX debut: November 2010, vs Stoke Hammond MK (5-3 victory)
A goalkeeper with real pedigree, Michael was one of the original FC MMIX targets when they first came into existence after not only representing the County, but also having been on the books of Leicester City during his youth. And after a lengthy spell out on the sidelines through injury, Michael actually played against FC MMIX in 2010/11 – for Kiln Farm – before signing indefinitely following their liquidation.
Total 2010/11 appearances: 19 (0 goals)
Michael can definitely claim to have played a massive part in their change of fortune, instantly providing security and stability between the sticks as FC MMIX went on to only lose 4 of their remaining 19 games in 2010/11, including an 11-game winning run which lasted from February 14th to May 28th – well over 3 months. With great distribution, superb awareness and the ability to spot the danger coming, Michael appeared to finally complete the puzzle and will be essential to the future of the club if the target of winning even more silverware is to be realised.
