Moon, Callum | DOB: September 25th, 1990
FC MMIX debut: August 2009, vs MKXI (8-2 victory)
After making the step up to the senior game in 2007/08 with MKDSAFC, Callum immediately installed himself as a necessity in any team with a series of impressive and tireless performances that defied his tender years. Another to have been decorated in the local leagues, particularly with Hemel Comets, his ability and potential earned him the right to train with Newport Pagnell FC during 2008/09 and is a player that could literally feature in any position on the pitch.
Total 2009/10 appearances: 22 (0 goals)
Despite his work commitments, Callum ended up as the joint 3rd most capped player in 2009/10 racking up 22 appearances in all competitions. A quiet battler and unspoken hero, he began the season at right-back and also featured in the holding midfield role on the odd occasion but it was at centre-back where he won his plaudits, most notably during the Berks + Bucks campaign in November 2009 where he captained the side against Chearsley Cricketers and earned the Man Of The Match award in the process with a truly ferocious display.
Total 2010/11 appearances: 26 (0 goals)
Again, despite work commitments, Callum managed to end the season as the 6th most capped player and could arguably claim that by the end of the campaign, he had cemented himself as the first choice in the holding midfield role with a series of impressive displays in that position, including a Man Of The Match performance against Three Trees in April 2011. Calm, dedicated and professional, Callum also featured in a whole host of positions throughout the campaign including full-back and centre-back and always gave 100% for the cause, noticeably growing in stature as the season progressed.
