McBrearty, Joel | 09/02/83
Position: Midfield / Attack
After having played for Shenley Hotel as they took the 6-a-side title at Stantonbury, along with Lee Paton, Joel featured in the North Bucks and South Midlands leagues for the likes of MK Titans and AFC Dunstable before signing for FC MMIX in February 2010 as another option going forward, being able to play in the centre of midfield as well as leading the line.
FC MMIX debut: February 2010, vs Machzone (4-3 defeat)
Last appearance: February 2011, vs AFC Santander (402 victory)
Total FC MMIX appearances: 12 (1 goal)
Making his debut as a second half substitute in the 4-3 Bill Johnson Trophy defeat to Machzone, he then went on to start the very next game – the 2-0 victory over Inter Inchley Reserves in mid February – and greatly impressed in the process before a niggling injury restricted him to only 3 further appearances before the end of the 2009/10 campaign. He did feature slightly more in 2010/11 although prior commitments and competition for places meant that he could never quite force his way into proceedings on a regular basis, and he made his last appearance for MMIX in February 2011 – scoring the final goal of the league season, against AFC Santander – before deciding to leave in the summer of 2011.
