A former goalkeeper for Bedford side World Karate Champions and full-back for London based Birbeck FC, Dave was one of the last players to be signed during the 2009 summer trial sessions after a selection of real ‘heart on sleeve’ performances during the trial sessions saw him earn a squad place due to dedication and attitude alone.

Dave made an extremely brief 3-minute substitute appearance in the right-back position in the 4-2 pre-season victory over The Dixon XI in August 2009 but his relocation to London in late 2009 meant that he missed his chance to play a part in November 2009’s Berks & Bucks campaign, and never actually featured for the first team again due to logistical difficulties before his official release at the end of the season.
