Jeffery, Jake  |  16/09/90

Position: Attack

A young striker with a keen eye for goal, Jake installed himself as a necessity within the FC MMIX squad after just one trial session as management looked to increase their attacking options. Bringing Sunday League experience with him after having featured for the likes of Netherfield Saints and Fishermead Doyles in previous years, Jake was exactly what was needed.

FC MMIX debut: November 2009, vs Inter Inchley Reserves (2-0 victory)

Last appearance: May 2011, vs AFC Santander (3-1 victory)

Total FC MMIX appearances: 28 (8 goals)

After making his debut in early November, he netted his first goal just one week later in the 4-3 Berks & Bucks defeat to Chearsley Cricketers and despite breaking several bones in his neck during a training ground collision with Michael Lacey, he continued to pop up with vital goals including an absolute scorcher in the Bill Johnson Trophy defeat to Machzone, as well as the final goal of the 2009/10 campaign, a 20-yard bullet in the dying minutes to give FC MMIX a well earned 3-3 draw against Willen. In the next campaign, Jake featured regularly during pre-season before joining Division Two side Stantonbury Social on loan in a bid to regain full fitness and went on to top their goalscoring charts during his time with the club. Returning in February 2011, he rejoined MMIX as a squad player and featured both up front and in the heart of the defence during their 11-game winning run, finding the back of the net in the 5-3 victory over FC Lifesearch in March, and picking up a winners medal in the Bill Johnson Supplementary Cup before joining CS Athletic on a permanent deal in the summer of 2011.
