Holt, Lewis | 11/12/91
Position: Goalkeeper
After a youth career with Brookfield Rangers, Lewis stepped up to the adult game aged just 17 after having won the County Cup with Denbigh Academy, as well as progressing through to the quarter-finals of the National Cup – a competition involving some 628 teams.
FC MMIX debut: August 2009, vs MKXI (8-2 victory)
Last appearance: November 2009, vs Chearsley Cricketers (4-3 defeat)
Total FC MMIX appearances: 10 (0 goals)
Lewis began the 2009/10 as first choice goalkeeper and started the first 4 games of the season, and 10 in total including the first ever FC MMIX league fixture in September 2009, and the Berks & Bucks campaign two months later. Initially billed as one for the future, Lewis found himself pushed down the pecking order after a series of high profile errors and the emergence of Paul Lowe and Saaj Singh meant that first team opportunities were limited. He continued his development throughout the rest of the campaign but failed to force his way into proceedings again, before being released at the end of the season despite showing obvious promise.
