Despite his tender years, Darran brought a whole host of 11-a-side experience with him when he signed having featured for the likes of Southside, MK Titans and Old Bradwell United, before also featuring for Buckingham Town later in the season.

After making his debut as a second half substitute in the defeat to Loughton Athletic in September 2009, he started the very next game – the 8-1 friendly victory over MKXI. He quickly found himself way down the pecking order due to an abundance of other options in attacking positions though – only starting one further game, the County Cup fixture against Chearsley Cricketers . But after two unused substitute appearances in a row, he never featured on a match day again after November 2009 before his eventual release at the end of the 2009/10 campaign.
