Cass, Pat  |  DOB: April 18th

FC MMIX debut: July 2010, vs The Dixon XI (8-2 victory)

A calm, composed defender with a soothing nature on the ball and a swagger in possession, FC MMIX actually tried to sign Pat Cass for the 2009/10 season but other commitments and a niggling knee injury meant that he was forced to miss the entire campaign, before officially committing to proceedings in the summer of 2010. Another former MKDSAFC player, Pat was a key member of the 2008/09 ‘invincible’ squad and also played a part in local smaller sides such as Oldboys FC and Phoenix Club, where he featured alongside several of his new FC MMIX team-mates

Total 2010/11 appearances: 12 (2 goals)

Pat made his debut as a right-back in the 8-2 victory over The Dixon XI in July 2010, missing the next 3 games but then appearing in 6 successive fixtures including the 9-0 victory over Old Bradwell United Veterans when he scored a brace, despite playing at left-back. University commitments meant that Pat was never going to be a regular fixture but he was involved whenever he was available, including a 3-game stint during FC MMIX’s 11-game winning run where he operated superbly in the heart of the 3-man defence, as well as flourishing in the wing-back role whenever the chance arose.
